Montana Timbercraft was born from a lifetime of working with wood—and a deep respect for the homes we live in. Founded by Mark Weatherhead, a finish carpenter with over 30 years of experience in high-end residential construction, the business was created to bring timeless furniture into people’s lives: furniture made with integrity, purpose, and soul.

 

From Blueprint to Bench

For decades, Mark worked on some of the most demanding jobs in high-end custom homebuilding—where precision wasn’t optional and every detail mattered. That discipline now lives in every mortise, tenon, dovetail, and tapered leg crafted in the Montana Timbercraft shop.

Our specialty is Shaker-style furniture—a design language known for its simplicity, honesty, and quiet strength. Each piece is made to order, using only premium American hardwoods like cherry, walnut, oak, maple, and bird’s eye maple. Nothing mass produced. Nothing outsourced.
